What you should know about AFODE
Alliance For Development-Uganda (AFODE-U) is an indigenous registered non-governmental organization under registration number NY/CBS/251/2019/20 and also registered under ministry of internal affairs, Reg No. S.5914./10123 with the National NGO board.
The offices are located on Mbogoyabwe road near Nyamwamba division offices off Kasese- kabarole highway opposite Bugema University, kasese campus in Nyamwamba division, kasese municipality, kasese district, Western Uganda
The organization operates in the district of Kasese and was formed with a prime focus of enhancing peaceful coexistence and livelihoods among the communities to have their right to development.
Her formation was triggered by the growing appreciation that there has been considerably limited participation and support to the rural communities in development activities towards the implementation of sustainable development goals.

Support and empower the community to identify and address potential environmental risks and promote environmental rights to a safe and clean environment.
To contribute to the creation of a society where women and children enjoy their lives free of human rights violations and abuses as well as promoting and defending Human Rights activists.
To support self-help projects towards livelihood improvement to the vulnerable community groups through savings and investments
